Bren Veziroglu is the founder of The Movement Cult. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Biology and is currently pursuing a masters degree from San Jose State University in Kinesiology. He currently holds two state powerlifting records and is on the Health Advisory Commission of Santa Clara County. He is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer, Fitness Nutrition Specialist, and Certified Weightlifting Coach. As a movement teacher, Bren uses modern concepts from pain science, anatomy, and motor learning to rehabilitate old injuries while improving strength, mobility, and balance.

Bren has studied under the Ido Portal Method for six years but has also developed skills in a variety of disciplines under the tutelage of various teachers. He believes that no one is a master of movement and therefore, movement is for everyone. As such, he continually strives to improve his skills in order to become a better mover—both for the benefit of himself and for his students. His skillsets now include a strong background in strength training, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, hand balancing, and improvisation-based contemporary dance.

Throughout his career, Bren has seen a widening gap in the fitness industry. People have become so focused on training for how they look that they’ve forgotten how to function. Our bodies deserve better. So, he founded The Movement Cult because his mission is to inspire as many people as he can to move and improve themselves through movement.
